CELEBRATE YOUR BREAKTHROUGHS

Like water breaking through, like a flood bursting a dam, like a relentless river chiseling its channel deep into rock . . . that's how David describes the act of God that gave him victory. 1 Chronicles 14:8-12 tells of David's victory over oppressing enemies. In the eleventh verse, David's words are recorded:

. . . and David said, "God has broken through my enemies by my hand, like a bursting flood." Therefore the name of that place is called The Lord Who Breaks Out.

David took time to celebrate victory; he loudly acknowledged that the breakthrough was an act of God. Have you seen a breakthrough? Yes! Don't keep it to yourself, but acknowledge it! Mark the date well, and name the place of your victory in honor of the Lord who made it happen.

Go ahead and tell the story over and over again, for God will put in your path someone who needs encouragement. Somebody you know is looking for a landmark along the way, hoping for some small sign that God can and will rescue in time of need. Every breakthrough offers living proof that the Lord will save.
